Default Clutch removal

Got the primary apart, compensator out clutch retainer nut removed it the clutch isn’t budging, I don’t want to get abusive with it for obvious reasons. Wondering if there’s loctite on the spline's, never had one of these bikes where the clutch didn’t just pull right off ?
Should I try heating it?

I had the nut out, I ended up using a puller got the clutch off and found the problem, the splined end of the main shaft was burred up. I took a triangle file and cleaned all the spline ends and now the clutch slides on and off as it should.

Sorry, missed that you had the nut off..

You may want to replace the inner clutch hub that has the splines if it's the 2014. There have been inner hubs that have stripped out the splines..

My task is replacing the hydro clutch with a Road King cable setup. But I figured hell might as well add a Baker shift drum while I’m at it. So far got all torn down, got the new cable ran, swapped the Street Glide switches over to the RK switch pack so I don’t lose cruise control. I also picked a brand new 2023 (well 900 mile) M8 clutch assembly, so I’m also swapping that in. Forgot about gaskets and oil so I have to order more stuff.

Question guys this bike only has 13,000 miles and the shift shaft in the trans is very sloppy, wondering if it needs replacing already?

Don't replace the bike. Shift Shaft can be repaired.

Shift shaft has a bushing that you can replace, but you will need a special tool to replace it.
@ 13k miles it shouldn't be worn, have you compared it to other bikes?

Note on the bearing in your primary. Check to make sure snap ring is in correct position for oiling if your are replacing it, and not a bad idea to look @ it anyway.

Update, it’s all done, replaced both shift shaft bushings. The trans bushing I used Harley and the cross shaft on the primary I used the headhoggers bushing, the linkage is as tight as it’ll ever be now. The trans the put the Baker smooth shift kit drum assembly in. Put the Fueling comp spring on the compensator. Installed the newer 2023 M8 clutch assembly with a Roadking cable clutch conversion and used a 2011 Road King 18 degree ramp assembly. Clutch is very light, waaay lighter than the Hydro clutch and I had the Mueller slave cylinder. Pressure plate travel is fair at .067” I have free play set of half turn out so plenty of free play, and about an 1/8” at the lever.
