This link that can be found under Software Updates on the bottom of the H-D.com main page when you navigate to BOOM 6.5.
It is a little more of a pain in the neck than it used to be. You need to take a fingerprint (dump of your bikes navigation system) onto a blank USB Drive.
You then need to download the HD toolbox and use the toolbox with the USB to get to the software that you can update.
Get the latest version of the: dealerships and the software update, both of which are free.
If you are willing to pay $150 bucks or so, you should be able to get the latest version of the maps too.

You do not need to do the fingerprint thingy to update the dealer locator on a Boom Box 6.5GT. Go here and scroll down to Dealer Locator Point Of Interest (POI). Click on Dealer Locator POI 6.5GT NA to download the update.
Unzip the file on your Windows computer. Copy the unzipped contents and paste the contents to a clean thumb drive 8GB or larger formatted to FAT32. Turn on your bike and wait for the radio to boot. Plug the thumb drive into the USB cord in the cubby. Follow the instructions on the screen.
I guess I'm lucky....my dealer will always update my Boom Box software for free. Usually, the service writer will just walk out to where my bike is parked, plug-in their fob, press a few things and it's updated. Takes maybe 5 min at the most.
(note: I'm referring to a "software" update....NOT a "map update". The "map update is not free. The "map update" would be approx. $150)

Yeah, and according to the OPs profile, he supposedly works at an H-D dealership. <shrug>

Hum, for "free"?
I think that maybe your bike is in for some service when this takes place?
Assuming so, you paid for those services when you bought your bike and or, when you picked up your bike after having your service done and pay for it then.
Just because the bill says N/C or doesn't even mention it, still doesn't mean you did not pay for it
This is Harley your talking about.
That may just be me and my sinical attitude toward Harley talking but, it is my opinion that Harley does nothing for free and over charges to boot.
though, I suppose many on here just might disagree with me on this!
Sandwiz.... Nope, they do it as a courtesy for FREE. As long as their time allows them to walk out front, where I'm parked. They'll just plug in the thumb drive and tell me to unplug it when the update complete and walk it back inside to them.
I do all my service with them and they always treat me well and "fair"....perhaps they consider it just "good customer relations"....with the key word being "customer"......since I'm a returning purchaser and service customer.
As I said, you ether bought the bike from them, and paid for the servicing then, or pay for ongoing service from them...
As you said "your a returning purchaser" (i.e. YOU have bought one or more bikes from them) AND are a regular service customer!
NOT free... is "MY" definition of that.
I bet that IF I rolled up on my 2014 Street Glide Special, which was not bought there, and neither I or the bike have ever been there,
and I walked in and asked for a software update they will respond with you will have to setup an appointment for service.
Again I may be wrong here, and am willing to give it the benefit of a doubt BUT, I would put $5 on the fact that my response above would be how it would go down!
no matter, I'm just saying because "Free and Harley" do NOT compute! Your dealer is just extending "Customer Service" to YOU to keep you spending more with them.
The ONLY service they do are my 3 hole fluid changes, tires and last year a new water pump. For me that qualifies as just "regular maintenance". I'm not a "wrencher", so if regular maintenance makes me a "good customer" who's worth a few "perks" so be it. Works both ways for me.
