So, I have the '14 Ultra Limited. Noticed when I turn the bike on, it sources to the FM band. I could not find a way to change this to either Bluetooth or the AUX (iPod).
Getting the Street Performance build on the engine and the shop gave me a '14 SG Special. Plugged my iPod into it. Every time I crank the bike, it defaults to the iPod - what I was listening to last.
I have searched the web and this forum and was not able to find any hints. Any help out there? About to go to ROT over in Austin from CO and don't want to have to select the source after every fuel-up / stop, ect.
Mine is the same, pretty random on startup, sometimes has to "rediscover" the USB stick I'm running, even though I rarely unplug it.
I commonly avoid this by not shutting down all the way. I often leave the accessories on when I'm making gas stops and such, saves the reboot of the stereo. Not sure though, if this practice would be deemed to be safe.
With the most recent radio flash my system 'forgets' the last source often. The earlier radio flash seemed to always remember. The earlier flash also would show the name of the thumbdrive instead of a generic USB label. So I named my thumbdrive after my club so my club name would always be on screen.
On the prior software release it would stay on the source it was on when you shut the bike off. With the latest software release it defaults back to the radio. The loaner you had probably had not been updated. Hopefully this will be changed back with the next update.
I haven't updated the software since I bought the bike a few weeks back. I'll look into that and get on the latest since it already is. I bet it was updated to this latest one on delivery....
I'll look for future updates and go from there. Frustrating - but not a deal killer at all. I hope they fix that too.
Like others have stated, mine is random. It seems to pick between my USB or Sat. radio, but not necessarily the one I was last listening to. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to what comes on when I turn on the bike.
My SGS seems to do what ever it wants. Sometimes it defaults to what was last on, sometimes not.
Yep, that's what mine does too, no idea what to expect, good thing is, it only take a couple pushes of the buttons to bring up whatever source you want
