nav/boom bugs
The MoCo has gotten so big and successful, it could give a **** less what customers think...at least the customers who have ALREADY made a purchase.
It's the POTENTIAL customers they are REALLY trying to hook.
Like I've said before, the BIG profits are in bike sales not fixing problems, and acknowledging problems is bad for business. It's not until it takes a life or receives bad press these giants take action.
Prime example: GM and the key switch
I'd love a version update for the Rush' Infotainment, but I'm about tired if waiting. It's probably NOT gonn'a happen.
I'm just very happy the rest of MY bike is 100%. Too bad the 'tainment system is only at about 80%...I wouldn't go so far to say it's "a sorry piece of ****" but it's sure not ready for primetime...

I called HD Customer Care this afternoon and asked about the status of an Infotainment Center update to address all the issues with the current 1.17.4 software. The first woman I spoke to out me on hold and came back after about 2 minutes saying that there was nothing in the system about an update and escalated me to a "case manager."
The case manager asked me what issues I was experiencing. I gave her a short list of the issues that I have actually seen on my bike: 1) Infotainment system occasionally booting up completely black or blank 2) randomly switching to the weather band 3) the screen "sticking" in night mode 4) 9 way point limitation.
She said yes, they they were aware of all of those issues and were in fact working on an update. She said that that last date she was given for release was the end of August. She wouldn't comment or confirm any other issues other than to say that they were working on the update.
An end of August update makes some sense if they are trying to get all the "bugs" resolved before the 2015's start rolling out.
