I can't agree more. The .4 release was available in Feb but the build date is from last Nov. The .5 release which they still have not released has a build date of March. This glacial release schedule is complete bullshit on a $28k bike.

Check out the last posts on this thread. Looks like a way to get the .5 release.

Cool - thanks. Downloading now.

But I think Harley should have official updates released more frequently.

I agree! At least some acknowledgement of the issues they are aware of so that we don't waste our time worrying about them! ;-)

My Limited came with the .5 and I have the same bugs as everyone with the .4 reported except for the volume bug. I didn't run into the issue with the display staying in night mode until I went through a long tunnel in Colorado last week. Had to pull over and shut the bike off for a few minutes to get it back into day mode. Like everyone else, I am going to change mine from auto to daytime.

I wish there was a way to know what the .5 was supposed to address.

My guess is .5 doesn't address the issues which is why it hasn't been released through official channels yet.

Just did the .5 upgrade yesterday. The volume "feature" is still there. It is not really a bug. It works as intended. However, intended is not what previous bikes did. the new feature is the volume changes once as you start to move and only that one time. Previous models changed volume again when you got to a faster speed and when the engine and wind noise was actually loud enough to require a volume increase. The 2014's don't do that. The speed where it changes is to low of a speed and the volume change is not enough to make a difference.

I also agree about acknowledgement of the issues and some kind of feedback. After all, this is the Rushmore project where they claim all the rider involvement. Yet, here we are, the actual owners who ride these bikes and all we hear are cricket noises from the MoCo once we buy the bikes.

If they were serious about building bikes for riders, they would have a forum like this one and would at least say, yeah, we hear what you are saying and are taking notes. They don't have to agree with all of our suggestions, they just need to acknowledge that we have made them and that they are actually listening to us!

So can someone at Harley answer a simple question if these bugs are being fixed/addressed?

If so when can a upgrade be expected?
