Has anyone tried to install the newer speedo on the older model softails? I like the looks of the new one versus the factory gauge on my 14 FXSB. Asked the parts guys at my local H-D shop and they werent sure.
The speedos, both stock and the aftermarket HD speedo had different faces and needles, but the internals were identical. I noticed this when I installed a new guage. The original is boxed up and put away.
Pure conjecture on my part:
I would guess the same for the new guages. I'd start by looking to make sure the connections are all there. The ECM contains all ODO info for 2010 up so it should be plug and play.
