I didn't realize how much I'd enjoy an audio system on my bike until I got my Street Glide. I've now added the Stage I rear speakers on the SG and Heritage is spending more time in the Garage as a result, even though the Heritage is a blast to ride and preferred on short to mid range rides. So, I'm looking to add something that's decent audio quality for the Heritage. Will probably have to design something custom. The little sound bar is not going to cut it, needs to be the quality of at least the Stage I audio of the SG, and I don't want something home baked or unsightly. Anybody out there got something they really like for a Heritage/Softail?
Like you, I’ve grown accustomed to riding with tunes, I traded a 17 Street Glide with stage 1 audio for my Heritage 114 and found the guy singing the songs sucks and can’t remember all of the words. ;-)
SO, I installed a Cardo Bold with JBL speakers in my helmet (Harley/HJC 3/4). I’ve got to say, it may be better than sound on the bike. It has an ambient sound sensor so it gets louder at speed and I’m not blasting my ears with a loud combo of music and wind noise. Plus, I didn’t ruin the look of the bike with a bunch of audio gadgets bolted to it.
I now use the Cardo when I ride my Road Glide too, instead of the bike stereo.
Also, I ride for work, yeah job sucks right? And it allows me take calls, no one knows I’m on the bike which amazes me.
