I had some shifting issues, and was told by a tech that it was common, but I haven't heard that. I told the tech I believe it's the clutch adjustment. They did it under warranty, I'll do it myself, see if that helps.

A weak pawl spring would tend to prevent the shift lever from centering itself after a shift.
Another thing to check would be the shift linkage (if any) to make sure there’s no binding. If in doubt, lubricate any pivot points in the linkage.
