Default Bungee Nuts

Hi folks,

I'm looking at options for rear fender bungee nuts/***** for my 2020 softail breakout. I noticed these ones here:

https://fortnine.ca/en/emgo-net-nuts...D_BwE#493=8132

Does anyone know what size should be used for this fitment application, or have any other product recommendations?

Those are the correct size (3/8-16 UNC). I think I’d combine them with some 3/8-16 set screws of the proper length and Loctite them to the nuts to make “bungee bolts.” And install them in lieu of the rear fender bolts.

I've got those on my Heritage. I also have these trick little lift up "now you see 'em, now you don't" swivel hooks that come in handy.

I replace the pan head fender screw with grub screws with a hex socket, 3/8 UNC x 1 1/2 so they could be screwed in tight using red Loctite to the 3/8 UNC H-D bungee nuts, then effectively used them as bolts.
The grub screws I got were slightly too long for my liking as I did not want them to sit proud of the inner fender and cut them down with a Dremel on the end that screw into the bungee nut.
We have been using them effectively on our two Deluxes for the last two years with no problems, but what I will say is, if using a detachable sissy with the H-D lock this get slightly in the way when positioning the bungee on the nut sometimes
Regards cutting them down this will depend on bike to bike and what washers you use, it may not be necessary!

With bags fitted

Front & rear Bungee nuts fitted.

Just rear fitted with stock pan head screw front.

Screws fitted and not fitted and showing the amount cut off by the washers in the center of the picture

Nice job! I do a lot of Dremel work. Whenever I cut threads I taper the ends and run a die to chase the threads.
