If it's a 2018, and it's camchest was never opened, it definitely does not have the new pump.
The new generation oilpumps have a Seal that presses against the back wall of the camchest, and seals off the pinion shaft.
The HD pumps this seal is pressed into a slot on the backplate of the Pump. The SnS and Feuling pumps they have a groove for the seal on the back of their pump's housing.
If your bike does not have this Seal on the back, don't use it. Don't use the S&S or Feuling ones without this seal either. There was a version of the 2019 pump that had this seal but not the changes that came to the 2020 OEM and 2021 SE oil pumps.

Thanks Fran. I don't know if it was ever opened. I bought this Fatboy a couple of years ago with only 2000 miles. The only thing the original owner did was put on V&H slip-ons.
When the parts guy told me that the oil pump was upgraded he was looking at the computer. I've put on 7000 miles since I bought it. Over 2000 of those were a trip to Philadelphia from Nashville and I've never had any issues.
Guess that I'll find out later today when I put the new cam in.
If it's in the service record, it was probably done then.
But yeah always a good idea to double check if you're opening the cam chest.
In terms of cam choices, I'm wondering, what made you go for the 475c? I was looking at aftermarket cams and was thinking CR480 or Star 30/30 would give the most roll on acceleration.
I originally bought a Reaper 465. While waiting for that I was trying to find reviews/videos on it. The one video that I found didn't impress me with the idle.
But dam, the sound of the 475 at idle really impressed me. Then looking at the specs and reading reviews I was sold.
Reading some of the reviews really made me laugh. Guys saying that their bike bogged down at low RPMs. Well duh, downshift, your shift points change. Heck I had that when changing pipes on older carburetorated Sportsters.
I was just reading how our bikes will benefit from the 64mm manifold with the proper stage 2 tune. Bigger than that we would lose performance at stage 2.

I mean what they say is true. Most people like to ride with that low end power easily accessible.
I for one didn't want to deal with the losses at low end, which is why I liked the idea of the CR480 cam. I wanted a cam that built extra and lost nothing down low. CR480 fits that build perfectly, but it also seems the Star 30/30 does as well but with the maxed out lift you can go for a set of stock springs.
Are you sure you meant the 64mm? because I thought it was the 55mm that was the biggest we can go with stage2 and 64mm would cause problems, until Stage 3~4.
I ended up buying the 55mm SE intake manifold.
I've been reading the same thing, 55mm is where an m8 maxed out. But now according to Moonshine, the 64mm manifold and 64mm throttle body work with the stage 2 and up.
If I have issues with the s&s 475, I have the Fueling Reaper 465 that I can put in. But I'd rather try the 475 first.
I bought the s&s 55mm manifold a few months ago. But just now getting around to put it on.
Yeah my manifold is sitting in a box right now. After the debacle of breaking the tappet cuff bolt on my bike... I want a rest from pain in the *** installs for a while.
In that video for Stage 2, they're saying they're using the 64mm with the highlift cams, above stock. Like the 492 cam.
I wonder if 55mm manifold is as good as you need for stock spring cams.
