Very concerned
Lol
Nothing taken personally. I hate to use this word in a Harley Forum, but that was Cute.
It doesn't matter whether it's a house, a car, a radio or a motorcycle. There's always going to a few bad ones in the bunch. With mass production for each part, it's going to happen. Can't tell you how many time I've purchased a pound or two of strawberries. Turning that container over and over to make sure there weren't any bad ones. When you get come and start eating them, bam, there' the rotten one.
I was just ranting that moring. Sure, I've had issues, but nothing that I was able to take car of myself. The service manual is your friend, own it, love it, keep it nearby. I just finished glueing mine back together.

What's wrong with my 18 Fatboy 114. I read about owners having trouble with brakes, compensator, lean angles, hard to take corners, excessive vibrations, tire wear, uncomfortable and the biggest one, tongue dip. I'm sure that I missed a few.
I haven't experienced any of these, so I'm thinking that there's something wrong with my bike.
When I put on the V&H Big Radius pipes, i was told that those pipes are not good for torque.
When I twist my throttle I go and I go fast, so much so that I needed a back rest. When I put pressure on my brake pedal it slows or stops depending on how my pressure is applied.
As I was looking at cams, i read that I should stay away from the S&S 475 cam because it doesn't like the Big Radius pipes and that I was going to lose low end torque. It did run a little rough and sounded sick under 2,000 rpm, but a few auto tune sessions cleared that up.
And guess what, When I twist my throttle I go and I go fast, so much so that I still need the back rest. I've ridden without it and the M8 with this set up wants to push me backwards off my seat.
My 114 M8 sounds like a beast wanting to be set free. Have I had it dyno'd yet, nope. I've thought about it. But why? So that somebody can point to a chart and say: See, look, you have a torque dip right here. But I don't feel it, well it's here, look at the chart. Then they're likely to say that it's because of the Big Radius pipes and if I changed them, I wouldn't get that little blip on the chart. Why?

All those problems are usually caused by using the wrong brand of oil.
The wrong brand of oil can cause:
- Lean angle issues
- Low torque when twisting the throttle
- Numbness hands and fingers
- Paint swirls
- Poor traction when wet
- Excessive tire wear.
- Wobbling at freeway speed
- Buffeting with Full Face helmets
- Key FOB issues
- etc. etc
You sir are lucky . . . you must be using the correct brand of oil

LMAO, That's what happens when you ride I-840, the bypass south of Nashville, Tn.
After putting the new cam, lifters and oil pump in I will be changing the oil soon.
What color oil should I use to avoid the Security/Key Fob issues?

You MUST use Amsoil Golden Honey Milk in your bikes, cars, lawn mowers, chainsaws, leaf blowers, floor jacks, and generators. Any of the so called "Major Brands" will destroy your motor, reduce you gas mileage, cause premature wear, and Key Fob issue!
