(reposting this in 2018+) Having owned several Harleys in the past my last bike was a Yamaha Vmax and the bike was a lot of fun was manageable yet a complete riot when you felt the need. That being said I was pleasantly surprised when entering freeway onramp on my slim and wasn't really trying but caught second and bike started fishtailing laying rubber hit third with a nice chirp and was on my way. Luckily the *** end didn't try and come out since you're essentially riding a lounge chair with the forward controls.
I've broken the rear tire loose a few times on slightly damp or wet roads, and a few days ago I was out riding and almost got t-boned and discovered my bike can do powerslides.
Doing zero to 60s I consistantly come in at under 4 seconds with a full tank of gas.
M8 Softails are a ****in joy to ride.
I'm pretty happy "as is" for now. Plan on VH big shots after emissions warranty expires.
Ditto here, with a 107Ci in the Sport Glide. Stock cam stock exhaust is all this Cruiser needs. If they can offer a 017 in base model Road Glides and Street Glides, a 107 is plenty in a 100+ pound lighter Softail
i have a few recorded runs on my Dragy,
to date, the best ET is a 12.11 @ 109.8 MPH, that run also shows the 0-60 being a 3.78
the launch wasnt horrible feeling, it did spin slightly letting go at 1800-2000 rpm...60ft. was 1.88

Be careful out there - bonehead drivers these days would just as soon kill us as look at us.
