I install the new or tested good battery. Then start the bike, and rev to 2,000 RPMs and measure the voltage it should be greater than 13.7 if the chsrging system is good.

And anytime the bike is used once every three days, hook it up to a battery tender.
They did fully charge it for the test but it still tested good. Continues to be a problem so I’m getting it replaced right now. I plan to report back if it solves the problem.

From your response, I take it you either do not have a multimeter or are not comfortable with the work of checking or chasing a parasitic drain?
I don’t have a multimeter and you are correct I don’t really have any experience with finding the drain if there is one. If the new battery doesn’t fix it, I won’t have a choice but to try and find the problem.

you might have a bad stator or voltage regulator. Try and find someone who knows how to use a multi meter… check voltage at battery when bike is off. Then start the bike and check while running—the difference is your charging voltage. It’s should be a small positive voltage. If 0, then you have an issue in your charging system.

I have a buddy that is gonna check it out if it continues having a problem. This is very preliminary but I got a new battery yesterday and it’s been night and day difference. Started right up multiple times. Also started up quicker every time too.

Thought I’d give an update for anyone following. The bike has consistently started ever since I got a new battery so that appears to have been the issue.

Yesterday evening I did change my front and rear blinkers to Custom Dynamics. I also changed my taillight bezel to Custom Dynamics, utilizing the OEM circuit board and went back to the stock tail light. I have a headlight bucket to from Custom Dynamics as well but don’t wanna mess with it until I return from a trip. So if it was a lighting issue, that’s fixed too.
