Default 2026 Road Glide Limited test ride

So Harley finally made the bike I'm looking for to replace my 2014 Ultra Limited. Took one for a test ride in the dealer parking lot Saturday. I'm just over 6 feet tall. It felt like my crotch is smashed against the tank - WTH?? I was so disappointed in that.
On my 2014, I have 10" Jaffe bars, Kury floorboard extenders (1" forward and 1" out), softbrake (lower and forward) and a harley hammock seat. While it's comfortable, the seat is not idea. I have tailbone pain even with a backrest - so I probably don't have the ideal setup on that bike.
I hesitate to look at replacing the seat because it's very nice and has heated controls for rider and passenger. But I feel cramped. I'm not sure if it's just the floorboards, the seat, or a combination.

Before I pull the trigger (can't decide between black and chrome on the iron horse metallic), I'd like to feel a bit more comfortable about getting the bike to fit me.

Sorry - I get so frustrated because it's not just Harley. All these powersports manufacturers make products for guys that are 5'8" to 5'10".

TIA for your input
Greg

I hear ya', same deal on my new RG. I'm 6'3" and the OEM seat had me too far forward and knees level with top of gas tank..I went with the HD Tallboy seat which improved ergonomic comfort. I would not be happy either buying a new one and having to ditch the nice heated seat immediately just so I could be comfortable riding a brand new $35,000 bike. Then for those riding two up, wouldn't a seat that put the rider back farther mean even less room and comfort for the passenger?

Exactly... I don't ride solo (ever) lol. So a Tallboy seat is out of the question. I'd have to go aftermarket.

You think moving the floorboards would be enough? I'm 6'1".

Honestly, it has nothing to do with the person's height... the seat pan is too short, and the tank is too wide at the horn of the seat. Only bothers me with my feet down.

never done a floorboard mod .. hopefully others will chime in here with suggestions / solutions..I mean I get that Harley (or any manufacturers) can't make a one size fits all config, making mods are just part of the deal, good luck. I think the bike itself appears to be a winner

It’s not just you tall dudes, at 5’11” the longer tank is what gives me the feeling of being cramped. I’m shopping for an extended reach solo right now.

Black. That way you won't see the reflection on your screen of the chrome handlebars.

I'm not getting into a bike slamming contest. I rode Harley baggers for years and was always feeling cramped at 6"2". One day I sat on a Victory Cross Country and realized I didn't know what I didn't know. Not only was it bigframed bike, the floorboards were adjustable. To be tall and sit on a bike that actually was big enough to ride comfortably was a treat. The looks of it grew on me, and I wasn't splayed out like a Christmas ham while trying to be comfortable with my feet on highway pegs all the time.

I hear ya. Don't let seat hinder your decision. The bike is absolutely superior in just about every way. The only excellent stock seat that ever came on a motorcycle was my 2015 CVO Limited with the hammock seat of the time. There's a lot of great aftermarket options out there that will plug right in and provide heat. I'm 6'1" and ordered the Mustang Deluxe Touring Extended Reach along with the passenger pad and rider back rest. Link below. I have this on my 25 Street Glide Ultra and my 25 CVO Road Glide. Love this seat. I tried Saddlemen and it was a no go for me. I also have lower back and tailbone issues. This Mustang sits you back about 1.75" further than stock. Note the pic in my signature was the Saddlemen before switching to Mustang.
