Same here, the grills usually have rather large holes in them. When I take a grill off, I find the tiny passages between the fins in the radiator are clogged up. This is my experience on other bikes. Maybe there is no problem to be fixed.

Ride a hundred miles of wet dirt road on the way to Alaska and let me know.

I guess I could have described it better, no concerns from me about the radiator fins being excessively clogged either...but, I haven't rode a hundred miles of wet dirt road on the way to Alaska and can see how that would be a major concern / problem that would need to be addressed, along with all the other stuff that would get clogged and nuts and bolts rattle loose..know someone who rode her Harley on the Dalton and to Prudhoe Bay..it took a real beating for sure..I'll pass on that adventure ride unless someone wants to let me ride their bike

I rode to Alaska on a 2014 Street Glide. It had the stock full size front fender and I had to add a mud flap to keep the oil cooler clear of debris. No actual dirt roads, just the typical miles and miles of unpaved road construction on that route.

I feel pretty good about my skinny front 130mm tire and fender compared to having this 180mm set up in front of the radiator!!

When it rains, the original fender throws a lot of water on the feet. I hope the wrapper lifts less water.

I'm afraid it may not help much with that. I just installed my fender and it fit perfectly just like the photos.

Default Radiator screen

The screen is easily removed on these bikes. I have seen others slip in a smaller mesh under the stock screen.

Havent seen any heat result comparisons on it, but it stops bigger stones.

Have not done the ride to Alaska yet, we prefer paved/cement roads being two up.

It would be nice to have the longer fender if it doesn’t create more heat. Our summers in KS are toasty.
Cheers

My local dealer just picked up my bike to install the stage 3 122 kit, the pro high volume oil pump with cam plate, and 1275N clutch springs. The SE mufflers, ST-121 Heavy Breather air cleaner, and SE Pro Street Tuner are already on the bike. I hope this combination yields a good balance of performance and engine life for touring. I'll have two riding seasons of warranty coverage before I need to decide on an extended service plan or onto a dynamometer with TTS Mastertune.

The increase in compression ratio from 10.3 to 10.9 in this kit compliments the later cam intake close of the 511 cam which is moving from 19 to 24 degrees ABDC. I'm happy to stay below the high 11.4 to 1 compression of the 121 engines or the 11.6 to 1 of the 135 crate motor. I also like that the kit does not use adjustable push rods (a personal preference).

The SE 511 Cam lacks the valve overlap and duration of aftermarket cams in order to maintain emissions compliance. For my "Quiet" build, the low overlap does reduce intake noise and a later exhaust open limits the exhaust sound level. This cam will have a smooth idle with little "chop".

In this photo you can see the high capacity bearing in the new SE lifters (top) compared to stock:

Here's some info on the SE oil pump and cam plate:

.511 lift is still a small cam, but makes good torque, which is the real driver in a V-twin pushrod engine.

my SE 511 has been ordered is scheduled for install next week...I won a $525 dealership gift card jackpot at our last Chapter meeting and we get 10% off of P&A and Motorclothes so figured why not..I already have a complete SE Stage 1 so out of pocket expense is just Labor. That alone wasn't initially enough to sway me to do it, but while looking at the OEM Parts Finder I discovered that the previous 99C lifters that have been used for many many years, and were the root cause of my catastrophic engine failure in my 24 RG and those have been discontinued in all 2026 M8s, Cruiser and Touring models. Those now come with the SE High Capacity lifters as OEM. It would seem HD did that for a very specific reason, possibly too many warranty claims costing them too much engine repair / replacements. Of course the newer, since 2020, SE Lifters could still have a bad one fail similarly. But after my ordeal last year I can't trust the 99Cs. I'll ride it with just the SEPST ECM calibration first but maybe have it DYNO tuned since we have an excellent Master Tech dyno operator to take advantage of whom I have had do this last on my 2017 M8 RK with excellent results. I prefer this route over running some auto tunes.

It's always been my understanding that the factory 2 Year Limited Powertrain warranty and subsequent ESP coverages only apply to SE performance parts installed by dealerships within 60 days of a new bike purchase. Otherwise coverage only pertains to the Parts only warranty for 1 year. I'm getting my SE Stage 2 added now, which is 8 months after I purchased my 25 RG so not counting on it being considered OEM factory warranty covered based on the literature explanation.

EDIT: conflicting information from HD on two different descriptions
