I have a tank from a 07 SuperGlide with a dent in the side.
The tank is black.
This tank would save someone some money if they was going
to do the tank mod like Mud has done to his.
I would take 50.00 plus shipping.
Thanks MDodson
Will do muddy, I will also measure them clitorplus and post that too.

Got a question. Does anybody know of a under fifty bux mod to shorten the kick stand. Ive got a 2007 FDX and lowered the rear with progressive 11 inch shocks. The way it sets now doesn't give me that warm fuzzy feeling LOL.I'm afraid it could fall over if not parked on level ground. I've seen some replacements but they are expensive.

First step, I tape the belt cover and layout spacing.
I don't want the bullet holes lined up in a straight line,
so I am staggering them off center an eighth inch on each side of the centerline.
below is layout at the nose end.
The small red circles are indicating the spotwelds for the mounting bracket.
I worked the layout around these, might as well leave the spotwelds as HD fused them. .
.
. .
.
. below is layout at the tail end.
I reduced the penetrations to .50 caliber when the radius starts.
penetrations on the rest are .700 Nitro Express
Again, the small red circles are locating HDs spotwelds. .
.
. .
. Next shown is the boring operation for the .700 Nitro Express size holes.
I start from the outside, penetrating about 3/4 of the thickness. .
.
. .
.
. Now, below, I turn the work over, and finish the penetration from the inside of the beltguard.
The 5/8" hole saw actually bores to about .700 .
. .
. As shown below, I spaced the big holes at 1 1/4",
and then reduced this to one inch at the tail end.
You can see here that this boring technique requires paint touchup.
I'll wait till the weather warms up a bit, only hit about 68F today.
Squirt some paint next week, supposed to get up into the eighties. .
. .
. I'm happy with the results.
Layout the spacing carefully,
and have a good looksee before boring. .
.
.
. OK. Below. Install.
I like a light coating of White Grease on the grommets and bushings.
I left a bit on the grommet to show where, but the pic didn't come out that good.
Grease inside and outside of both the grommets and bushings.
Wipe off excess, you only need a light coating. .
. .
. For the front bolt by the rear footpeg,
you get to use your ball end allen wrench.
Don't forget a little dab of blue loctite on all fasteners.
Oftentimes, I hear folks speaking of applying "a liberal coating of loctite".
A small drop is all that is needed. See below. .
.
. .
. Below. Done (less paint). .
. .
. I considered boring the top side as well, and I still may do it.
If so, they will not line up straight on with these penetrations,
They will be located between the centers of these,
so as not to over weaken this component.
I'd like to do a football using this boring maneuver (picked up some CanadaSpeak).
if anyone has one to part with, let me know. .
.

Reason: reload missing pix
No responses after all ya trouble . here's one: Turn ya stock mirrors 180 degrees. On the stock FXD & DC the mirrors are the widest part, if ya turn 'em you gain about 1 and a half inchs on EACH side, which makes a real improvement for splittin' lanes, ( I'm in traffic every day). It actually looks better too because they sit in tighter almost up against the master cyl, bit hard to read the "appear closer' warning, but i have memorised that message
cya when ya come down under Mud.
Graham.
I know this one is from 12/4 but I just read it, I am not sure what you are saying squeeech, can you show a foto?

Ifyou can find another guard you couldSpot,MIG, or wire weldthe two inside each other to make a kind of tin plywood out of it. It works out to be one of those "the sum being more than the parts things" and you could drill all the holes you like without worrying about causing any significant weakening of the whole.
