Hey Mud nice on the finger dipstick same on the file... Dont know which I like the best.

As far as the ball goes, and I know its late in the game since you have some made,
the original dipsticker ball can be used.
I am making one now out of a straight razor, c-clamp
and the original plastic ball.
I just cut the stick of it and drilled it out I have to pick up some c-rings
to go around where I ground the bladeshaft round to go through the hole in the ball.

I really like the finger, I may have to have one
Tom, thanks for the compliment on the dippers.

I'll be interested to see how you do this with the original ball.
Can't picture it.

Let me know if you need a finger.
I've still got nine more.

I think we Dyna riders should consider ourselves lucky that we've got our own personal parts manufacturer out here on the boards so eager to assist and help us out. Thanks Mud.
My pleasure strich.

Need to keep this thing up at least on the first page.

Mud,

Seeing that pic of you standing on the seat tells me that your either braver or crazier than I am,maybe both.

Nice work on the bracket and dash panel.
I thin its fairly safe to say that the Mudsicle is going to be one very slick low buck bike, even if it is a Dyna.

[sm=joke.gif]Guy's so please don't jump all over me cause I like my Softy better.
I'm a short **** and I can reach the ground and forward controls easier on one.
Frank, thanks for the compiment on the tank console and the license bracket,
and the vote of confidence on the mudSickle.

As to the seat standing, 10 years ago I would have
illustrated this with a handstand on the seat.

Below is a picture snapped about ten years ago on one of my jobsites.
Hanging from the scaffold in front of the proscenium arch
at the Empire Theatre 60 feet above the floor.
About the time this picture was snapped, I had just muttered
Hurry up, I can't hang here forever.

here are a couple more

1. make your own rigid form bag/backrest similar to biker's friend. take any cheap duffle bag that is whatever size that you desire. then go by proper sized cardboard Readyform from local hardware store, and cut to size. readyform is cardboard cylinder that you pour concrete into(in case you were wondering or didn't know) cost about $10 for whole set up.

2. plastic covers for when you remove those ugly a$$ turnsignals but still want to keep you quick detachable sissybar set up. just cut the wires and remove turnsignal. replace with an allen head bolt of equal thread and length. black plastic caps are chair leg ***** also from local hardware store. they come in tons of sizes and in white as well. cost was about $10.

here are some pics...

oh yeah, and big thanks to MUD!!!

I want one of those side mount license plate brackets! wow

maybe a description of the "way low" layback license plate mount on the fender. personally like that look a bit more than the side mount.

super cheap. it is holding up so far. just wrapped the form in packing tape to keep it a bit rainproof. you get a 3ft. length for 5 bucks, so you can afford to do it a few times! the bag i have is only 15"
