back to the "spirit of the thread" here's an under 50 bux.
i got these D ring tie downs from work as take offs when a sub woofer is installed on a Scion but can probably find them with little effort. just drilled my EZ brackets and used self tapping screws. great anchor points for tour pack and bungee hook for sleeping bag on top of saddle bag

The original idea is to have them all in one place.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; When I started it I put up an index and will continue to do it as time goes on.
i thought Mud started it and did the index[:-]

This one is his, I&nbsp\\;stole the idea from him, with his permission and started another over in the softail section.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; But I am not going to update the index there until the forums are finally fixed.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Im afraid that it will screw things up and maybe loose something valuable if I do it before then.

I'll try posting this in sections as its not working
Great thread, I’ve been laid up for a couple of days and have read the lot.Good work Mud and all
I’m 6’5 and had trouble finding long enough extensions for fxdb.I got some 2†mild steel plate about 10mm thick and cut it out using an angle grinder then stensiled holes using the exsisting. I cut thread in the front holes to keep it neat and used exsisting bolts and to attach it to frame used left over bolts from mid controls.

Here's the link to the one in the Softail section, https://www.hdforums.com/m_3318604/tm.htm&nbsp\\;
BTW in the first posting as well as the links to the various mods I included the links to this one and the Bagger and Sporty ones.
