Video Camera Mount...............
.
Bought a little amateur quality video camera
so I can get started learning video technique.

This one does a fairly decent job.

I cut a back pocket off an old pair of jeans,

then punched some holes for tie wrapping to my helmet.....
.

.
cut another hole for the lens
.

.
.
The camera saves as .avi
then youTube compresses and converts to some other extension.

The videos playback way better from my harddrive
than they do when I view them with youTube.
(sound and image butchered on youTube)

Here's a screenshot from playback from my hard drive....

Us snowbound really appreciate you taking us for a ride. It really helps with the withdrawal symptoms.

Hi - Beam Garage door opener.

I'm sure this is nothing new and I've had this on for a while, finally got around to taking pictures.

I had an extra 12 volt garage door opener remote so I soldered wire to the battery connections. I then ran a wire to my high beam light and spliced the (+) positive side of the remote into that. I found a ground under my seat and spliced to the (-) negative side of the remote.

I taped a piece of plastic over the button so the remote is always "on." I also wrap the remote in bubble wrap before installing my seat. (not shown in pictures)

Now when I need to open or close my garage door, I just flash my high beams.

So do you ever try randomly opening others doord while in residential areas?

And do your neighbors think your door is light activated?

I have not tried to randomly open doors. Not sure what my neighbors think. I just know the 2 times I've come home and it's raining cats and dogs, I was happy I didn't have to get off my bike to open the garage door.

From Youtube:
We recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio. Resizing your video to these specifications before uploading will help your clips look better on YouTube.

After shooting your AVI run your vid through a utility like Any Video Converter making the output an "mp4" file (divx or xvid compression).

Then upload the MP4 video to Youtube.

Thanks for taking the time to enlighten me on the converter utility vetto.

Appreciate it.

Gonna download the AVC now and give it a try.

I tried to find a free or cheap video editor. No luck.

Anything on that one??

I just want something real basic for now.
