Mud, why you were in the forks, did the idea of drilling and tapping the lower units for a drain come to mind? I was surprised when the 49mm fork sliders came out without drain plugs. Is there some reason for this?

Could use some help here. See my pic below for my request.
Here is the problem... I have removed the stock wiring block shown in the pic above and now I cannot get the rear brake light to function.

When I test voltage without the light it works fine, I get roughly 12 V from both front and rear brake operation on the R/Y wire. When I connect the wires to the light, I only get the front brake light to work. WTF?

The light only has 3 leads, the O/W wire does not have a lead from the light, it is accessory power from reading the wiring diagram.
I can't get my state inspection without the brake lights so I am in serious need of any help at this point.

Sounds like the same problem, I don't understand how that is possible to have the thing just not work when connected to the light when it works properly for the front brake when connected.
Anyone figured this out?

Rsa...is the light you're installing properly grounded? Just an idea.

Yes, it does work fine for the taillight and front brake when connected, it's just the back brake that does not work.

RS, you haven't mentioned which stock wires you have connected to the new light.

o/w and r/y go to the new brake lite
blue to new tail/running
black to new ground

When you connect the O/W you get a constant brake light, the O/W wire goes to Accessory power, it was never connected to the taillight when stock. I know the wiring diagram shows that, but the stock harness to the light does not include that O/W wire from the block to the lamp.

The Blue is going to my taillight
R/Y goes to my brake light
Black to ground the lampholder
