Anyone have any suggestions for a kickstand? Since they already come with a shorter stand I haven't been able to find one 2" under. I've thought about going with a wedge, but not sure where to get one that works for the newer years. Any help is appreciated.
Looks great. I like the more classic style of the new one compared to your old one. Swingarm looks excellent, also. I've been eyeing doing that, but I need to get chrome lowers first.
I installed the Crossbones solo seat kit on my '06 Deluxe and man are the springs stiff. The other issue is because the springs don't compress it puts my vision right at the top of my windshield. Can anyone recommend a softer spring that will work with the Crossbones set up? I only weigh 150 pounds so I don't have enough mass to compress the springs.
I have not been around in a while and its good to see some of the deluxe boys are still here. I have not done much to my bike this year. I have the front and rare fender rails which I have not got around to installing yet and a couple of other small things. I had a good year last summer hitting the local bike meets took home nine trophies of which two were best in show. There are still a lot of people out there who like the nostalgic look. I have just about 15000 miles on the bike now and its still strong. One thing I did was remove the packing from the quiet baffles and I got a little more sound but not excessive. I tried the baffles that came with the Vance and hines true duels but there was not enough back pressure for my bike to run well. It was running well with the quiet baffles but when I removed the packing it sounded better and runs as well as it could. I had bought a tank and fender set off e bay and was going to have a custom paint job done. I decided against it in the end. I have been through two air ride systems and they both had to go legends had so many problems that it was not worth it I would not recommend there system to any one. well riding season is just about here on the east coast it was a long winter. ride hard ride safe
