BTW you can always add two or four white LED bolts to the plate bracket to light up the plate at night.
Just put them in and splice the wires into the run line to the tailight.
These are from Custom Dynamics and come with a White light for the plate and a second circuit (facing the rear) with Amber or Red light so they can operate as replacement or auxillary turn (Amber) or brake (Red) lights.
Awesome - they're who I got the LED bulb from; wish I'd known they have one with the white lights for the window - somehow I missed that - too late now. $16 for a pair of bolt lites; awesome! Thanx man!
Oh, and we did a 155 mile run today - my buds joked a lot about the brakes. Evidently, even in bright Ga. sunlight, this thing says "I AM FREAKIN' STOPPING NOW!"

No problem, you can get those kind of 'bolt lights' from a number of places, and you don't have to get the double LED's I mentioned. They do make them in white angled to just light up the plate.
I only suggested the two color LED's to give you an idea of what you can do with them and because they have a decent reputation for good parts.
You did mention that you got your tailight from them so, I figured you just didn't see them while you were wandering around their site.
With the way the site is setup its very easy to overlook some of the other 'goodies' they have available.
Here is an air cleaner cover I made out of a Smith & Wesson hitch cover. I bought the hitch cover at a local U-haul for $25 but you can find them online if you do a search. I discarded the hitch brackets and drilled a hole in the center. I did have to get a longer bolt because the material is about a 1/4" thick and the stock AC bolt was only on by about a tread. anyway much cheaper then any AC cover I have seen made for a bike and looks cool too.

That looks pretty good, I like it.
I never knew there were so many different hitch covers, just searched ebay and there are tons of designs, even some that light up...
Where did you get, and how did you mount that tour pack??? Bad A$$ Ride Dude! Great Mods.
Thanks
A little welding on a few bolts...lol You can see more details on my web site.
Bought the tour pak on ebay, 100.00 needed something big enough for my full face for road trips, and getting caught in the rain.
Took the mufflers off my 06 FXDI and punched out two holes in each baffle. The baffles are approx one-half way down inside (and welded in place) so I used a 8" long half inch diameter spike (the kind used to hold 6X6's or 4x4's together in the yard). Then placed a socket inside the pipe on top of the spike to help center it. Next used a regular hammer to punch two holes through the baffle plates. Sounds great no change in performance that I can detect. It took about 20min and it was free.
