Hellow guys, this year is my end free service for my Harley so I need to change it by myself. But somehow this is my first time to change the oils thing, all I know there's 3 oils (Primary, Engine and transmission). Can someone tell me how to change the oil? Where's the drain bolt for each oil? And how to fill it? It would help if the answers are with pict or video... I ride 2009 Fatboy.
Did your bike come with a service manual? If not, get one. If this does not help:
1)Drive your bike to a garage.
2) Tell the guy working there you want your fluids changed.
3)Reach in your pocket for cash or credit card
4)Hand it to him and come back in 2500 miles.
and GET A SERVICE MANUAL if you plan on working on your own bike. I figure they are expensive in Indonesia due to mark up etc., but look on ebay for used one.
Sorry bro....I am just joking with you. Go to EBAY and type in 2009 Softail Service Manual and get an electronic copy. It will tell you how to change the oil. There are many threads on this and also which oil to choose. I'd go with synthetic, especially in a hot place like Jakarta.

LOL... that's the fastest way that I knew, but seems like I need the slower one. Need to know my bike, but sadly the manual book didn't answer my confusion on detail...
Thanks All, btw I really surprise that you guys know Jakarta, Indonesia. The mark up and Hot are fact! My Fatboy gets over heat couple times, traffic are sucks in here. Gear 1 and 2 are the most frequent gear to ride in here, but we can rocks on weekend to go across cities. That's why there's a joke called Weekend Bikers in here.. LOL.

GREAT THANKS!! This is what I really need, thanks man..

Thanks anyway Bro.
You need to get the Factory Service Manual, not the owners manual.....two different books. The service manual will tell you how to do everything on your bike related to maintenance. Good luck!
