I understand that we have a problem with IE8 but don't think we are the only ones. Maybe the only ones you deal with but many other people are having the same issues which is why IE is so unpopular and always coming out with bandaid fix updates. The solution for now until we figure this out is firefox which I've used for years now and never have a problem or to continue with IE and come here and complain about how slow HDF is. Your choice. The fix is there if you want it.

There were four threads in a row addressing the same thing on HDF. I merged them all together because I got tired of bouncing back and forth reading the same basic thing. If the forum is slow and you are using firefox then you need to dump your cookies and cache and reboot. If HDF is slow and you are using IE8 then you need to dump IE8 and use Firefox. That is the fix for now. Back in 07 the Harley download to get rid of the lean condition (popping and excessive heat) did not work. We told members here that it did not work but they continued to buy the stupid HD Download and continued to complain about it. Same thing guys. The IE guys are working on the problem but until then.................................

I'm using IE8 and recently downloaded the latest updates. While I did have issues the site
now works fine.

OK, here I am on HDF using IE9 (which I just now downloaded) and everything seems to be running fine. I had no problem signging onto HDF and the page loaded fine. I will still continue to use Firefox but for those using a version of IE that is not working with HDF, please try downloading the update.

Just a note. To upgrade to IE9 you must have Windows Vista or newer.

Can you have 2 different browsers on the same OP? I thought that caused conflicts.

You can have all the browsers you want, and you can
designate any one of them as your default. but for a five
minute download of Fox you guys could stop complaining.
I've had Firefox since November of '05
I keep IE 9 as default and browse with fox.
