Build Name Unknown - 2009 FXDB Street Bob
Dropped the bike off at the dealership last week for a number of reasons. First, I've been having numbness in my hands while only riding for 30 minutes. I think there are a number of possibilities as to why. I laid my bike down on the left side the first year I had it. Barely damaged anything. Just a few scratches on the primary cover and left handlebar mirror. Over time however, I started to notice the fact that the handlebars were no longer properly straight. The left grip was clearly sitting higher than the right grip. The tops of the front forks were also slightly off. Not by much but it should not have offset anything.
Since the bike was still under warranty, I wanted to make sure nothing could get fixed via Warranty instead of my pocket. They made sure everything was good. Since I've been swamped at work, I went ahead and had them do the work on it.
Installed Handlebars 14" thick apes, vibranators in the handlebars (www.vibranator.com) new clutch, throttle and brake cables, new oil cooler attached to front left frame tube, and fog lamps rewired directly into the power of the headlight - they now come on when in low beam setting.
Just as they completed the work, the Headlamp Modulation Kit came in - makes the headlight flash during the day to be more noticed.

I'll never be done... I'm always messing with stuff.
Completely different ride. I however still notice a specific vibration at certain higher rpms that shouldn't be there. The even more odd thing is that only the right handle of the handlebar was providing all the vibration. So I figured with my changes, even as simple as they were, it was time to retune. Been running smart tune with my laptop recording the entire trips to and from work for the past week. After each session and retune the vibrations are reduced. I've also been making the vibrations occur while recording. Gotta hold the throttle position for about 7-10 seconds minimum so that the smart tuner can make decent changes at that rpm/gear. I think I'll be running the tuner for another week or 2 so I can get a really smooth tune.
First off, I spent 2 whole months (8 weeks, 5 days a week doing about 60-70 miles a day) and then performed the smart tune with the recorded rides. It's pretty smooth now. The new handlebars are awesome. I'm really loving it.
Unfortunately, after going through all this work, I find out that my medical condition will not really provide me safety in riding on two-wheels as much as I'd like to admit. And my wife and I have taken a demo ride on a Tri-Glide recently. I've made the decision to go ahead and sell this motorcycle and move to an 3 wheeler.
So I will be putting this on the for sale section. Sadly. I shall miss it, but someone will be extremely happy.
I hope the trike is everything you want/need it to be and best of luck to you and yours.

Thanks!
