Thats the kind of amp I installed in my Reckless fairing. It will just fit under the radio. I put a few dabs of epoxy to hold it in place. Sounds decent for an amp its size.

do you think you can get this in there?

I've used these in tight space installs plenty of times. They're pretty impressive for what they are.
That would work, but already have the other unit and more trouble to send it back than to keep it. Length of the amp is where my problem lies. the rest of the dimensions are okay. It is quite possible that once a hole is cut for the radio it will slide in, although tight. (damn, that almost sounds nasty)

I am more interested in how to wire everything up, especially to the motorcycle. Instructions with the amp are gibberish to me.

sure about that? drilling holes and wiring an amp into a saddlebag is a bit more difficult that putting it in the fairing. remember also you have to make it all quick disconnect to be able to remove your bags.

I completely agree, much easier to just get a small amp as you suggested and put it in the fairing if possible. I emailed Arkady and got a reply this morning. He told me Bad Roses sells all his fairings for him now, so these are all made by Arkady, and they are a very good fairing. I mounted a small 4 channel amp inside the fairing I got from him. Wiring it up is not difficult. Your head unit should have simple instructions. Amp is RCA connections from your head unit to amp input, and then power wire straight to battery (use heavy enough gauge for amp), ground to frame or battery, and remote turn on power (from head unit usually), then your speakers. I don't think I am missing anything.

I measured the fairing again and believe I have enough room to mount the amp at the bottom/inside of the fairing and radio on top. I just need to be able to slide the amp through the hole that will be cut for the stereo. The things that I am having a hard time wrapping my head around is how to wire it up to the motorcycle and connection to the amp. I would like everything to turn on with the ON switch and OFF when turned off.

yeah but no head unit mentioned and model of speakers were needed.

Looks like the following equipment is what's going in.

Polk MM651
Polk MM521
SS PN4.520D
Pyle PLBT72G
