Regardless, with that amp I would use 8ga and a 30A fuse at the battery. You always want your battery fuse to be smaller than that of your amp so it will blow first if there is an issue and will protect your bike's electrical system in addition to negating you having to pull the fairing off but instead simply pop the seat off to change a fuse.
I'm a little confused here. I have the inline fuse holder on the main hot wire @ the battery. Is there supposed to be another fuse on or installed near the amp. I have seen pictures of amps with fuses actually in the back of the amp near the inputs but this amp does not have any thing like that.
Don't laugh, I told you all I was "audio install" challenged.

IF there is a fuse on/at the amp, you want a smaller rated fuse at the battery so it will protect your electrical system.
OK, then would it to my advantage to install another inline fuse holder inside the fairing near the amp and then put a 30 amp fuse in it and a 25 amp fuse in the one under the seat? Or just have the one fuse holder under the seat?

LOL. . . What Nutz is simply saying is if your amp has a 40 amp fuse like the soundsteam for example. Your inline fuse to the battery need only be 30 amps.
