I finished installing my second amp today. I don't think I will be able to put anything else behind the inner fairing. I relocated the CB module to underneath the radio and put both amps on top of the radio. I had to break up the large wire bundle to get it to sit a little flatter but it worked. In addition to the two amps, I have my air ride compressor and a garage door opener mounted behind the fairing. Adding the second amp for just the saddlebag speakers made them come to life. They sound great. I also added poly fill around the upper fairing speakers. Gave a much fuller sound out of the them. Here is the list of my final set up.
Please let us know how it sounds. . . .I already know how those 6 x 9 kappas sound with the Cerwin Vega B2 freakin awesome! Have not heard the marine speakers in the lowers?
I just drilled a small hole and used a tap to create threads. I went very slow to make sure I did not drill in to the radio itself. I consider buying to building a bracket but I didn't see the need.

I like the sound of the marine speakers. I almost like the sound better then the 62.11i's. I did not put any poly fill around the lower fairing speakers. I did put microfiber rag in the pods to help fill the void. May remove them and put poly fill around to see if they would sound any better. Hope that helps.
great, short write up. Especially the links are great for those looking for parts.
Thanks for the time you spent on the write-up...
and I bet it sounds great...
BTW never seen 2 amps on top of each other... you might have heat issues down the road (I do hope so you won't)
I did an overlap between them so there is a open space under about half of the top amp. I hope I don't run in to an issue but only time will tell. I think I'll be good. The sound is awesome. A nice full rich sound. I can see how guys jump to changing out the head unit. I think it already sounds great, but how much better could it get with a real head unit.

Oh yeah! That's what I wanted to know. I have not heard the marine speakers and was wondering how they sounded in the lowers.
