Default Single din flip out/up face units

I was wondering who had these and how do you like them. Been thinking about upgrading my head unit and these are at the top of my list. I posted in another thread about riding with the face out/up. Ultranutz said it can be done so that part is out of the way. He even suggested a unit that I had been looking at for a while now. Any and all opinions are welcome.

The AVH-X6500DVD and The AVH-X6700 are both bad azz! Man you already have a Killer system! That 6700 will be the icing on the cake! I see guys with em all the time. I think the screen retracts while riding. Hmmm you got me thinking again. . Dam it!

Thanks. I did see where you can retract the screen and the unit will still function. Only bad part is that it doesn't have a bottom display to tell what's going on. My retro radio module started acting up a while back so I'm getting another. Upgraded to the 7.1 pro while I was at it. Wanted to make it worth my while to get into the fairing. Thought I'd kick around the idea of a new head unit as well.

My only worry is not being able to see the speedometer and tach.

I'm curious, could you use it for displaying navigation?

I'm sure you could if the unit is compatible.

You would need the Pioneer add-on navigation module.
If you want a single din flip-out head unit with built in navigation then look at the Clarion NZ503, which I have installed on my bike.
