After going back and forth for awhile I finally decided on this set up for my SG that I'm rebuilding
*Hertz SPL Show
(2) sets of SV 165.1--- 6.5" One for the fairing and one for the lids
(1) set of SV 200.1----8"-----Bags facing the wheel
ST35---In the fairing
ST25---In the lids
*(2) 2XS Audio Control Concert Series Two way Crossovers. Changed the the chips out for the frequency response from 15-20,000Hz to 45,000Hz chips.
*Amps
JL HD600/4
JL XD700/5
Plan to run the SV165.1 and ST35's off the JL HD600/4 and the SV200.1 and SV 165.1 and ST25's off the JL XD700/5.
By the way I do have 2 brand new JL 8" (8W3v3) Subs for sale ($120 a piece) if anyone wants them. Also have a brand new set of Hertz 690's 6x9 as well.
I actually made one more change. Adding another set of SV 165.1's and a ST35 instead of the Hertz 690 6x9's.
Now when I was looking at the hertz stuff I was told the difference with the SPL stuff was it was gonna be more of a projected sound, which is why I made the comment about being able to hear you, if you dont mind me asking what made you go with the SPL's vs like their HI-Energy stuff as I did, I'm doing
4 HSK 165XL
4 HCX 690's
1 HDP4 AMP
selling the Mille Crossovers and other JL 200/2 and FR PBR 300/4

Thoughts???
Hmmm Interesting. I don't believe I've ever heard that set up on a bike. lot of midbass and two fairly large amps on a SG. I assume the 6.5's and tweets are going in the fairing? What's your plan to mount the amps with the 8" sub and the additional set of 6.5's and tweets in the saddle bags?

To clarify what I'm doing..........
Fairing---SV165.1 with ST 25
Lids---SV165.1 with ST 35
Bags--SV200.1
Will not be running the JL 8" subs or the HCX690 6x9's. Going a different direction. Selling the 690's and the JL 8" subs.

Here is how the Sv 165.1 and ST 35 will be mounted in the lids.
