You can take a RCA cable and cut one end off and connected it between our part and the amp.

Curious, why not just use the RCA cable in tact and connect it to the RCA input for the amp?

I hooked up mine to a PBR300x2 and I could tell a small difference in sound quality. It seemed that the BT had a little more depth in bass. I noticed it when I hooked up 1 side to the magic box and the other to the Biketronix. Until I did this, I really couldnt tell. I have yet to play with the gains on the BT. I am assuming once I do that, it will be more of a difference.

Hi,

Unless I missed something that Arc does not actually have RCA connections on it, they tell you to modify a RCA cable in the instructions.

Input Section
This XDi amplifier in equipped with a Balanced Input Stage that is compatible with any analog source including Balanced and Unbalanced RCA, Common ground speaker level output or BTL (Bridged Tied Load) outputs common on many OEM headunits. The speaker level input plug included with this amplifier are intended to be used with speaker level outputs and include a divider network to reduce the level of the OEM
system. If you are integrating into an OEM systems, balanced or common ground line level signal you should not use these Pigtails.
In this case it is recommended that you use an appropriate RCA cable with 1 set of ends removed as inputs for the amplifier.

Bill

It comes with pigtail connectors for RCA inputs. This link shows them in between the power and ground and the speaker outputs.

Maybe guys toss those cables or don't realize they are in the box? I was thinking they don't come with them because of the blurb in the instructions about modifying them, maybe I am confused. Sorry if I steered anyone wrong on this.

This may be a dumb question but why would you not just use the high level inputs on the amp instead of using a converter for low level input?

Would it be enough difference that it would be worth buying the LL's and rewiring it?
