Honestly I had the RF PBR300x2 and the Kicker CS 6.75 in my 14 SGS with NO FLASH and it sounded awesome, running it on HP, Gain at 5 and freq at 80. I just ran the speaker wires into the high level inputs on the amp.
Put the exact system in my buddy's 14 SGS and got the same results. Again, no flash.
Very loud, clean and clear with as much bass as your going to get out of those speakers.
Then like everything else I wanted more, went with the whole BT setup with the brackets and the flash with the old line leveler they had and could never get it to sound like my old setup.
When BT came out with the new line leveler I went that route and back to the stock flash, now I am happy, very happy! My buddy's bike sounds awesome but will not compare to mt new setup.
nice.. i ran the cs's but fried one so i replaced them with the ks before my sturgis trip last year...the ks's have about a week play on them i pulled them and put a cheaper set in on trade in... the ks were night and day better than the cs even i was supprised...

Did you have any issues with the speaker surround rubbing? I installed Kappas in my 14 and they ripped.
I have the PBR 300/2 with four KS65 Kicker speakers (2014 Ultra) and haven't flashed it and have NEVER updated it since I bought it new in early Oct 13,and it sounds great. Is it comparable to some $1500.00 setups? probably not but for less than $350.00 I'm happy, but your gonna get 100 different opinions and mines only one. Also I thought about having it flashed, but didn't wanna take the chance of messing up a good thing after all the nightmares I read about.

You ran the 6.75 without modifying the pod? Any sound difference between the 6.5 & the 6.75?

Yes, they fit the pod perfectly,I did not compare the sound difference. But they fit and with counter sunk style screws so they will clear the stock grill.
The only reason for that is the head of a regular screw will hit the ring in the stock grill.
Most 6.75 speakers will fit where a 6.5 goes...most I said.

I have the amp and speakers with the mount for the amp ( mount is for batwing 14 up) if anyone is interested....
