I was looking for someone in the greensboro area of North Carolina or southern Virginia area to install or to help me install my audio system in my 13 FLHX. I havent done any stereo upgrades since the 90's and that was on my cars and trucks. The equipment I have is as follows
Sony MEX M 70BT radio
Biketronics retro radio install kit
Infinitti Kappas 6.5"
Adapter rings
Soundstream PN4.1000d amp
along with amp wire install kit, speaker wire
If anyone can help please let me know. I can come to you or you can do the install at my shop. I have all the tools needed. PM me if you would like instead of posting here
Thanks
This was my fear when I went looking for a stereo. Glad I went with JM simple plug and play install. the JM bashing should start soon. So when you see a bunch of posts its mostly going to be bashing

I don't think the JM stuff is that bad just wanted something a little more high end that's all. I have the JM rokkers in my fairing now actually.

I see a bike, a big shop and a large Snap-on tool chest, what are you waiting for?
All kidding aside, there are folks here that will walk you through the install step by step.
I hadn't done ANY stereo work in years and I made it thru my install with help from this forum. My system is very similar to yours Sony DSXS310 HU, same amp, BT 7.1's in my fairing and Infinity 693's in my saddlebag lids. I used the metra control box and just followed the directions in the sticky. I'm really glad I did my own install, had a lot of fun and learned a lot in the process. With this forum in your toolbox you can do it yourself.
I just finished my '12 Ultra. Like you I have not messed with this stuff in years. Install was straight forward. I used the scooche install kit. Wires from that thumb control wired right into the aftermarket harness.
Go to HF and get plenty of heat shrink and zip ties. put heat shrink on before soldering wires together. Practice soldering.... Might need to watch a few videos on that.
I installed mine in two evenings. Got stupid and ordered a powered subwoofer, that now I'm probably going to ditch.
I am 3h away or so in Goldsboro, NC. I did mine in my 15 RGS, it was BT, not JM "Plug and play stuff" ,, (BT was pretty plug and play also,, ) I did bag lid speakers and fairing.
IF you wanted to come this far, I'll help if we can get a time lined up... Like everyone said above though, if you have the tools you MUST have the aptitude, it's not rocket science,,, and there is plenty of help on here.....
