So I've moved this discussion to another thread, as to try not derail from the original post.
If we have the second battery, will we be able to draw more amperage for the amps? Considering the bike itself draws somewhere around 20 amps to run from what I've read.
I'm trying to wrap my head around all of this.
Thanks Haze!
I was hoping that since it was pulling from one battery that it would open up more for the "extra" goodies on my ride!
Damn!
If u get the right batteries, I don't think u will be able to max out on goodies. Maybe just how long u play the goodies. The same concept has been used for at least a couple of decades from trolling motors to the big air / rev 10 big noise wake boats. All that noise with 6+ amps and speakers in the teens comes off the aux and lasts long time GI. The cranking battery is completely isolated. Then both charged when gas is being burnt. Very cool logic that works when u have big **** storage lockers for big isolator wires & batteries!!! The key will be finding the "right" sized batteries & wires for the sled world to make this happen!!!
Thinking lithium will get us to a better place due to living space. Still researching the hell out of that so stand by.
Great thinking bro. Outside the box for sure. I likey!!!
Ok...then how is it that some guys are running 3 amps? Others have made mention of running 5. Yet people I know can get anymore sound out of 3 amps than they can with 2? If someone out there has more knowledge, please chime in! This unicorn has got me by the nads...I've also came across these http://vmaxtanks.com
Just to elaborate on what I read. He's running 2- JL 400/2 1- JL 600/1 a micro 4 and a micro 2. He's running a two battery setup with everything wired off of the vmax battery....

LOL "DUDE" Two amps MAX is all you'll ever need with these bikes. Three is overkill unless you're getting into the competition game. The charging system on bikes 2006 up will handle two class D amps without a problem. You can even "Parking lot pimp"for about 40 minutes and still ride home.

Gann some guys are just getting insanely carried away. Chatting with a dude the other day had 12 speakers and 3 or 4 amps. 2 600/6 or 400/4 and 1or 2 micro 4's can't remember exactly. I love audio and all but I bought my bike to ride not be a mobile DJ. Nothing wrong with that as to each their own, but if it doesn't benefit me while riding then I personally don't see the point.
