Hello all!

I purchased my 10 SG over the winter. It already had a Sony head unit and lowers with Kicker speakers installed. In looking through my paperwork, I also saw a receipt from Biketronics for the head unit and install kit.

I also have a manual for the RF PBR300X4. I have not removed the fairing yet to see what speakers are back there, but am not all that impressed with the sound. So I am wondering "Is that amp enough to push the KRCs and a new set of lower speakers (not sure about brand yet, but I bet you will tell me). My buddy has the KRCs and they are ridiculous. I don't want a complete overhaul, but would appreciate an improved sound. Thanks for your help!

 

Short answer -- nope. You'll want a new amp.

 

Crap! I was afraid of that. Well actually, maybe you just saved me $600! LOL!

In all seriousness, are there decent speakers that I could install without changing the amp?

 

Long Answer - Nope. You'll need a new amp.

 

Not much with that amp really. That amp is generally just a epic fail for Rockford Fosgate. You have a set budget in mind? Pm LL247 and see if he can package you a good deal to your budget and listening needs. We can make tons of suggestions but your best to contact a sponsor with good pricing that will sell you what you need and no more no less depending on your needs.
