hi all. I have a 17 sgs. I contacted infocus audio in NH and inquired about ideas. from reading here I was thinking DDaw6 with AT28 TWEETS AND A JL AMP. I suggested that and they reccommened their Rockford fosgate Harley package and red flash. I don't know yet what is included in the package. any input would be greatly appreciated. I know it would help if I knew what speakers and amp was in the package. thanks
They might be able to flash the HU since they are not a HD dealer. As far as the RF kit goes, I had one and took it out for a better set up. The tm 400ad (in that kit) is a decent amp and the amp tray is top notch but the speakers leave a lot to be desired. That being said, even RF says not to run the amp too high on gain as it will blow their speakers. So... for the $$ you can get a more powerful amp and better quality speakers than the RF kit.
What set up dp you have or looking for? fairing only, fairing/lowers or lids/tour pac?
all stock now. just want an amp and 2 good fairing speakers and hear clean music when on highway. not looking to win a bass contest but if I'm going to spend the money i only want to do it once. from the reading ive done hear the DD speakes and tweets always come up. i don't know if that shop suggested Rockford because their a dealer of them or that's what they suggest. ill wrench on bike all day long but never been comfortable with audio. I'm in CT and not any real motorcycle shops around
Good amps include arc audio moto 600.4 (if you ever want to add more speakers) cerwin vega b-54 bridged, SS pn4.1000. The speakers you mentioned are top notch along with wdx 65 motos, arc 602's and hertz mpx/hcx (if you like the high ranges). You will need a biketronics bt355 line leveler for the install too. This levels out the signal from the head unit so not to over drive the amp or distort the sound while riding . No worries on the install as the guys here can walk you thru it.
I would ask Justin what he is putting in their Rockford package, I don't believe its the same as the kit you get from Rockford. He is a DD Audio dealer also.
I'm waiting for an email back lastride. i asked exactly that. i just know nothing about whats good and bad other then trying to do my own research. have you worked with them before?
If you plan to go with the DD AW6.5 and tweets - then a great amp is the DD D4.90 - http://ddaudio.com/products/amplifiers/d-series/d4/, either bridged or un-bridged - you should also get a BT Line Leveler

I've purchased some stuff from him and he has more than helpful with any install ??. When I stopped by his shop he had a couple of bikes that I could listen to.
