Default Sharing a DD1

Most of us will only set our amp up one time
Instead of spending $150.00 or $250.00 on a DDM1 and maybe never using it again

How about a system where you pay shipping and just borrow the unit
maybe a little extra for the guy that put out the cash for the original unit.
So if its $10 to ship then maybe $12 to the owner?
Just an idea
I for one would rather pay $30.00 total to use it once rather then $150.00
I guess I could always sell it when Im done.
Or am I way off base here?

This was mentioned on another forum, the issue is/was what if you get it back messed up. Or the metal nodes are bent for example? The owner would need a base line to make sure the product came back functioning the way it was sent out. Honestly if you have a DMM and know your amps out put you will get just about the sane setting. I can tell you that an Arc 600.4 and a Fosgate T400 both distort exactly as advertised RMS.

There's a guy that will rent you a DD-1, CC-1 and a db meter for $60

He requires a $275 deposit of which he'll refund you $200 once you return the equipment.
