Default assist please

G'day

Gurus need your assistance, been running a TM400x2AD with Mille pro 165.5 in the front fairing on my FLHTK
been running good until I installed the air wing rail lights, that's when I started to get some sort of noise on my left speaker, if I switched channels the noise would be on the opposite speaker, the noise I'm possibly hearing sounds like distorting or vibrating. have ordered the BT line leveller and hope it will solve my issue but I think it could be more to it

thanks in advance

I'm guessing you have a 14+ bike?

It sounds like you have a ground problem somewhere are you are getting interference from it.

Try disconnecting the new lights. Does the noise go away?

How is the amp connected to the radio. Using high-level inputs or line out converter's?

Where is the ground wire from the amp connected to the bike?

You may have some ground-loop interference.

If it's connected to an area close to the amp, try running a ground wire to the battery.

If it's connected to the battery, try connecting it to a point close to the amp, such as one of the triple-tree clamps.

If this doesn't work, I'd recommend waiting until you get the BT Line Levelers installed before doing anything else.

When you got a noise to shift from one channel to the other what wires did you swap? Installing the BT line levelers may help if there is a loose connection between the radio and the amp. Also check the speaker output connections on the affected side.

You will also need a pair of 18 inch RCA cables along with the line levelers.

Thanks Bertk

ground wire is on the battery, I may have to disconnect all wires and start all over and see how it goes

another query for you please , since the line leveller has RCA connections and the amp doesn't what's the process of fitting
