Replying to haze post I was thinking what if people had a way to listen to system's with out a pre judgement based on components or the posters identity
would we all agree on what sounds good to our ears. Would we like some lower budget builds more than higher end ??
So thought is someway to post video of only one song generic song that most if not all have has to be something out there. Pink Floyd Money you get idea.
only info shared is how many speakers and location. Not amps cause maybe miss leading more power not always better perhaps.
I don't know if we rate system 1-8 with nothing getting eight then at some point those that wish to share full specs do so .
OR maybe wife has me watching the Voice on dvr way to much.
Brother that's going to be hard to tell on a video. Perhaps one vid sounds better because it was a better phone, or better location. I've heard some vids here that sounded great with tons of bass that folks get super excited about. But having heard many of these set ups in person....I've also heard bikes on vids that seemed like they didn't have enough bass but live would drown out the other bike I mentioned. You can get bikes to sound good or bad in a vid.
I'll give it a go for a lower end system. Let me button things up and will try posting a vid. Pink Floyd it will be. I'm guessing out in the open environment would be best ?
Thought about exactly this the other day. Would be great to hear a consistent song just to make some general comparisons. I agree with haze that it won't be true apples to apples, but can't hurt to pick out some differences in setups.
Most of the point was the blind test aspect .
I tuned with turn down for what cause never heard it before someone posted it here and liked the beat that said I will never play that song again two weekends none stop wife dog and neighbors all agree.
Good thing I wasn't driving. That could've turned to Road Rage!!!!
I think if guys wanna do this then it should be a free for all and not fixate on one particular song. We all have that one song on our playlist that we think really makes our setups shine. IMO that's what you should use.

Keep this out of the vid thread and do whatever anyone pleases. I find it pointless personally. Who cares what is in what. We all have things we like and outside testing unproven equipment all is basically known anyways. And turn down for what is banned from the vid thread and forum. I agree it can cause potential harm to anyone surrounding one who had heard it a billion times. No reason to reinvent the wheel here.
