Sound thru Headset Connector and Speakers?
Hi All! Hope everyone had a great riding day today!
My wife would like to listen to her ear buds thru the headset connector in the back seat (I have a converter from Amazon) while I listen to the speakers. According to the manual, I have to choose Speakers or Headset. Does anyone know of a fix/workaround for this?
Thanks!

Your question is outside of the normal discussions on this forum which is mostly dedicated to audio upgrades. I will take a stab at answering your question although I am not an audio expert in any way shape or form. The only way to accomplish what you are trying to do as far as I know is to splice into the speaker wires from the head unit on the right and left sides and run wires from the splices to a line out converter and then to your gadget that you bought from Amazon. If the gadget does not have volume control you will also need a headphone amplifier. I doubt that this is what you really want to do but you asked and no easy way to run both at the same time that I am aware of.

Like you said, through the head unit the out put is either speaker or headset.
I'm not even sure how you'd tackle this, I'd probably start with finding some sort of converter to take the rear speaker and split it to the speakers and and to a plug you can plug the headset to.
Like I said, not sure how to do this but I'm sure someone out there has done it but most on here are full blown audiophiles and headsets aren't considered
