I have a pair of the older Scala G2 units, found they work pretty good except I like to ride with a set of custom molded earplugs with embedded speaker wires, work great connected to my walkman and with a splitter can get both.Having speakers poking into the sides of the ears gets tiresome.
I decided to cut off the Scala speakers as they are hard wired into the unit and use a 3.5 plug so I can connect my earplugs, however the Scala speakers run 3 wires, red, black & white.Soldered the red and black up to a 2 channel plug but only get sound through one channel.I guess its not that important as I'm pretty well deaf in one ear and dont need to hear conversation in stereo, just wondering if any audio experts could chime in to get both sides working.
Also wondering about the Sena units, do the speakers plug into those units or are the hard wired also?
black wire should be common each ear bud one wire would hook up to it, red would be one side ear bud, white would be other side ear bud. are you using a mono jack or stereo jack that will also make a difference. are the wires matched to correct sections of jack and plug so they match up when connected.
