Default wiring help

I wasn't sure how to title this other than that. Here goes, I'm hoping someone can help me out.

Previous system:
  • Stock HK HU
  • PA RZ4 2000D amp
  • Biketronics 7.1 non-pro
New system:
  • Aquatics
  • PA RZ4 2000D amp
  • DD AW 6.5
  • DD AT28 tweet in grilles
Here are my sticking points:
  • Previous system used hi level in. Required that I splice into wires (see pics).
Splice 1 from existing wiring to high level in on PA RZ4 2000D

Splice 2 from existing wiring to high level in on PA RZ4 2000D

wiring harness for hi level into PA RZ4 2000D

Now that I have replaced stock HK HU with Aquatics unit, what do I do with this abandoned harness? Do I need to reconnect the wires to something? Aquatics has low level out. Stingers to PA RZ4 2000D which I will bridge to the DD speaks.

Does anyone have pics of a similar system? I also have to wire in crossovers which I have never done. Curious how to do that, and where to mount them (thinking industrial velcro anywhere they fit).

Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

im assuming by "abandoned harness", you mean the speaker leads that were connected to the high level inputs?
now that you are using low level from aquatic, i would simply cut the high level adapters at the point where you spliced them, crimp a cap on them, and wire your head unit to amp using RCA, which i am assuming you are bridging to the AW combo?

Yooperhog- thanks for the response. Yes, they are wires that went to stock speakers. I was planning to just tape/cap them, but just wasn't sure since they run from the stock 23 pin connector.

Thanks again!

Turn the internal amp off on the Aquatic. This way no power is fed through and you will potentially have a cleaner output. I know the gen 2 had that option.

wouldnt the RCA's be pre-amp outputputs? bypassing internal amp?

Signal still comes out of all outputs speaker from internal amp or preout. All have power out all the time. That is why some high end head units have no internal amp and or the ability to shut internal amp off. Just a fail safe in this scenario for the factory wires to no longer have any voltage fed through them. Still fine taping them off but take advantage of the functions when you have them.

Working out issues with my amp currently.
