So I am curious to what everyone is doing as far as audio projects to there bikes this winter. I can not make up mind as there are so many options out there. I think naming my kids was easier. Lol. Post up what your doing and why you are going that direction.
I am doing DD vo 6.5's and b3 Horns up front. DD Vo 6x9s in the lids. powered off a JL 400/4 amp and a Kenwood X898 headunit. I may add another amp down the roadso i can bridge the fronts and rears.

You may want to consider a small 2 channel amp for your horns. With them paralleled off the 6.5 they tend to get real loud and harsh having no adjustment running the same power to them as the 6.5
I have four big projects in the next 2-3 months. We have a lightweight bike that's 8 speakers or less with no more than two 10 inch mids. For the comps this is usually the most stacked class with most folks in it so we're working on something for a tourpack to set this bike apart. We also have a ladies bike that will be in this class but it's a roadking, volume will be a challenge for this bike but we think we can design something to beat majority of the class in bass which should be pretty neat to see a female rider with a pink lay frame bike kill the competition with some Cardi B! Then we have our subwoofer bikes that we are designing now. Looking at four 10 inch subs or maybe four 12 inches. Like anything big or small -- proper pairing, power, tuning, etc. is key so we don't want to just throw speakers at a bike and hope it sounds right. I know this is vastly different than what most bikes here are, but wanted to share some different ideas of what some are doing!
new fairing speaker, tweeters up front replacing horns, new amps, and a little secret sauce in the saddle bags. i havent completed install yet, as life and mother nature keep getting in the way. 1-11-18 is slated for install and start of tuning. more updates as things progress

I'm Tapped out. lol!! Actually working on my tuning skills this winter. I don't think there are anymore speakers and amps left to for me to buy.
I'll be working on my tuning skills as well. I'm finding out the hard way that these Rushmore bikes take quite a bit more time and effort than what I'm used to dealing with.
Im thinking of going mmats in the fairing with dd horns and dd vo-m6x9's in the lids just not sure of what amp yet, this will be replacing a cerwin vega b54 amp and 4 infinity 6.5's had 2 in fairing and 2 in lowers.
ordering up parts now, have some of the bad dad competition lids with the
led lights coming, going with Focal amp and probably Polk MM Speakers all 4 holes (I think) lol
