I am picking up a set of lower fairings with Biketronics BT477 speakers installed used from the classified section. These will be going on my wife痴 2015 SGS. What do I need in addition to the speakers to get these hooked up to the stock Boom 6.5 radio? Thanks!

JK...the speakers should come w/instructions. Normally, best option to drive them, is adding an amp. Then it's following wiring diagram to connect everything. If the new set-up doesn't have clip/connectors, DON'T CRIMP the wiring...solder & heat shrink are your friend(s). Good luck!

I crimp and shrink every wire connection that is required. Have never had an issue.
I know I said I am clueless but... I just don't have a lot of experience with 12 volt audio. I am pretty mechanically inclined.

This is a used set up. I am guessing it is not going to come with any instructions. I guess I can call Biketronics for advice but I like to TRY to figure things out on my own first. I was hoping it would just be as easy as grabbing a harness from HD or Biketronics.

U need an amp. Save some cash and get a budget amp, budget fairing speakers, and hook this all up and u will be extremely glad u did.

Do you have any recommendations?

The first thing you will need on a 15 is the BT355 line leveler to flatten the EQ from the Boom radio. As T said. You will need an amp. Doesn't have to be a high dollar amp at this point. The amp will require power, ground, 40 amp fuse and a remote to turn on the amp.
You will also need a set of RCA's from the BT355 to the amp.
Since you will be running fairing speakers and lowers you will need a 4 channel amp.
Now just so you know. The BT477 speakers are the Titan II speakers. They require a lot of power to get loud therefore IMO not a good speaker for the lowers due to their efficiency. I've ran the Titan II speakers in the lowers and while they provide decent bass. They simply don't get loud enough in that location.
If you use the Titan II speakers make sure you throw at least 150 watts to each speaker.
What's ur budget for an amp and some speakers for the other speaker holes?
T.
Well it is for the wife's bike so... as little as possible.
