Default Getting a JL Audio JX400/4D to fit in 14+

As the title says. I installed a jx400/4d in the fairing on my 15 sgs using the stock amp tray. It is a tight fit and I can get the outer fairing on the bike but its doesnt seal around the left mirror area. Anyone have this specific amp on their bike using the stock amp tray? I don't really wanna buy a whole different amp but will lif need be. Any way to make this fit better. I could probably scoot it closer to the gauges but that would put pressure on the connector for the speedo/tach. Exploring options before I reside to get the xd400/4v2 amp which is skinnier width wise so it will fit but the xD has the rca and all wire hook ups towards the outer fairinf so with that amp I feel I would put strain on those connections. TIA

I use the XD400/4 all the time on your year bike. No issues.

That is the xd400/4v2 on just the stock amp tray. It’s mounted to a 1/4”x1” aluminum bar mounted to the radio.

i see you have each speaker bridged to where 1 speaker is on channel 1 and 2 and the other is on channel 3 and 4 instead of bridging both across 1 and 2 channel. what does doing it the way you have it benefit from having both bridged across channel 1 and 2 as how mine are.

The way he has his speaker outs wired is the only way to run bridged. If your running your speaker outs on channel 1 and channel 2 then you're not running in bridged mode.
