Default Replacement Grills

Enjoying my new audio setup thanks to help (and patience) of many of you here on the forum...Thanks Again!! Unfortunately our riding season here is coming to an end too soon though.

I am however not enjoying the "butt ugly" speaker grills that my Polk MM652's came with...they gotta go! I have them in my TP pods and would really like something better looking.

I believe the Hogtunes grills will fit but wondering if any others? Maybe some of the Harley grills fit with the same 4 mounting screw pattern? If so...part numbers? Thanks in advance!

Nothing?? I can't be the only one that doesn't care for the looks of the stock MM652 grills.
I've come across a couple of HD grills...76000065 (CVO grills apparently, but can't seem to locate this part number anywhere) and 7600324 (Boom replacement). Anyone with either (or both) of these...will they work?

These are the grills that I used. I think they were like $40 a piece.

Lefty for the fairing I used Hawg Wired steel grills
HAWG WIRED STEEL MESH SPEAKER GRILLS (SG5252) HARLEY SPEAKER GRILLS FLHT, FLHX

They look like stock but sound better and are more durable.

For the lowers I used these which are a cheap Chines knockoff of the expensive Harley CVO grills:
6-1/2" Saddlebag Lid Speaker Grills Covers For Harley Electra Road Glide 14-18

They say they are for Rushmore models but if you used 6.5" speakers in your rear pods I think they should fit. I had the same speakers in my rears as in the lowers so the screw holes might line up for you. They are cheap enough I got a spare set to tinker with. Some users have even cut about 1/4" off of them all the way around for a flusher fit.

If you search some of my older posts you can find some pics of them on the lowers to get an idea.

I must say though for the rear pods I really do like the grills that came with my AD Designs CX62s. They have a ring that the speaker sits on and the screws go through. You can then pop the grill on and it looks like there are no screws present if you use black ones.

Thanks Hoyt! I'll definitely make sure to check these out as well. I know you have the Motos in your fairing so not a big issue for you, but should I be treating my Hertz HCX 165's with some kind of water repellent product? Unless I turn the hose on them, I can't see them getting too wet in the fairing. TP another story...hence the reason I went with the Polk MM652's (with the hideous grills).

As far as water repellent I don't know, I have to be careful with the humidity here in the summer time. It's more than just the speaker cones, the frames will rust as well so I try to stay with marine type speakers.

Also there is the issue of the bike getting rained on while parked. A lot of folks here seem to use Camp Dry spray and stuff like that. Ask around I seem to recall they have come up with a procedure of sorts that they say works pretty good.

Now how it will work with snow may be another story all together.

HA!! I may push the limits of riding late in the season but when the snow flies...I'm done!

I'll have to do some searching here on water repellent treatment options.
