Default Polyfill and/or Sound Deadening?

Got my new system up and running on Sunday and it sounded great!

Once I put the fairing on, it definitely took a few steps backwards. More muddled, speakers didn't have as much seperation, almost like the sound was coming out from the center of the fairing.

When using the BT brackets, should you use any polyfill or sound dampening? Any way to get it to sound about the same with fairing on or off?

something is jazzed up there brother as most will agree it is supposed to sound far superior with the fairing on.

I don't know anything about Rushmore's but from what you describe check your speaker wire polarity and also right/left channel. At each stage of work I usually plug my phone in and go to YouTube and play a left/right stereo test. Several times I've found I've gotten one of the four pairs of RCA cables backwards.

Also I can say Noico sound deadening material did make my fairing speakers sound tighter and less bright.

Anything to be concerned about regarding how close your crossovers are to the speaker magnet?

Or how close your crossovers are to each other?

Gonna pull the fairing back off tonight and take a look. Fairing was a little difficult to get back on, so maybe something causing problems there.

May have to lose the covers on my crossovers and get more desperation between them.
