Working on installing my system..Stock HU, JL ZR 650 CSI's in fairing, JL M770's in the lids, Arc Moto 600.4 amp.
Initial impression was it sounded a bit bright on the front stage, but I didn't bolt the front fairing back on, which I believe will impact tone. I'm using BT speaker brackets. I ordered the Fast Foam rings for the front speakers... Do you suggest I use Dyna Mat in the front fairing as well or should I be good with the foam rings?
As always thanks in advance for your advice and suggestions...
Absolutely use the Dynamat. IMO it's worth the time and effort to install it. The FAST Rings will help but not as much as the Dynamat will. You'll need a minimum of 4 cuft. The 2 together do a fantastic job.
On a side note....always throw the fairing cap back on after tuning your amp to get a truer sound from your speakers. It makes a YUGE difference.

Yes speaker will sound brighter with the outer fairing off. The outer fairing on the Rushmore's are very prone to vibrate and sound deadening is a must, IMO. Sound deadener help reduce vibrations and retain lower FQ's. I haven't tried the rings but T swears by them. Second Skin Damplifier and Dynamat are two good products.

How do you do that if the amp is on top of the head unit?
