Default Recommendations please

hey all,

I’m looking for some recommendations on system upgrades and local shops.

Im in Baltimore Maryland and have a 17 street glide special. I’m looking at front speakers and speaker lids. I spoke to Westminster speed and sound, they suggested an ARC amp and speakers up front with Rockford kid kit. Quoting 2000-2200 installed.

Im not sure if that’s good or bad or if there is something better out there

thanks in advance

I didn’t have to much luck finding a decent dealer locally and even went to the motorcycle show last week. I wasn’t impressed with the audio dealers there. Eastern Performance and Westminster were both at the show.

I’m wanting to keep my OEM HU and replace the fairing speakers and adding an amp and lower speakers.

I went with Soundz and ordered all the components I need for the install. I’m also renting their scan tool to flash the HU and plan on doing all the install myself. It’s a bit pricy and I’ll have to see if it was worth the price.

Bagger Boys would be the ones to call in MD. https://www.baggerboyz.com/audio I've seen Andy's customer builds at audio competitions, and their always competitve.

If you can do your own install...you could piece together a hell of a system for $2000! Biketronics is another option for one stop shopping kits, with good customer service and a real lifetime warranty!

RF lid kit- $500
Stinger amp- $350
hertz hcx 165.3 - $150
Bt 355 line leveler - $80
amp wire kit - $30
rca cables - $10
miscellaneous stuff - $50

Total = $1170 and that is retail. With some research all can be had cheaper for a solid sounding setup. The regular gurus on this forum can guide you thru the install process step by step including tuning that setup.
