Default Some basic DSP install questions

Installing my Rockford Fosgate DSP DSR-1 tomorrow. So I have (8) speakers, (2) horns and (8) channel out outs.

I have (6) 6.5 speakers, (2) 6 X ( and set of of ST25 horns

I have (3) Four channel amps, 2 Diamond Audio Micro4V and (1) NVX VADM4 (I am bridging the NVX amp to the 6 X 9s)

Thinking about running the (8) speakers on the (8) channels from the DSP so each pair of speakers can be tuned independently.

I was thinking on the ST25 horns to run those direct off a 80 watt Four ohm channel of the Micro4 high pass and turn up the Freq to the correct setting, Thinking DSP tuning of the horns is not necessary?

There is no information in the DSP instructions that talks about how to set the amp up as far as crossover settings. I would assume set all four crossovers to flat?

In another thread someone mentioned running the Fairing Beyma 6200 and the Lowers Hertz SV165 on one channel, but it seems I need individual tuning for these speakers the Beyma being mid bass and the SV165s being a PA speakers.

Am I think right?

I'd want to have the horns in the dsp for sure. Isn't Haze doing your tune in Daytona? If so I'd hit him up on how to wire it

He has not confirmed a that he has time, he was booked and trying to squeeze me in. And I am betting he is slammed getting bikes ready for Daytona.

I just thought the horns would be straight forward on the freq, but that the Beyma and Hertz would need slightly different tuning from one another? I don't know, trying to figure it all out

Im sure Haze is slammed and getting his own stuff ready but he's a solid dude and I'm sure he'll do his best to take care of ya. layout exactly what you have for speakers and I'm sure someone will come up with a solid wiring strategy. Are the 6 6.5's all different? Where are they located?

Yeah, I understand I am popping in last minute on Alex, and I know he is busy and booked, so if he can squeeze me in somewhere will be awesome.

This is why I came on here asking about wiring.

So what to do with amp crossover settings and which to run through DSP?

So I have

Beyma 6CX200Nd/N 6.5 in Fairing (65Hz - 20kHz off the fairing mounted Micro4)
Hertz SV165.1 6.5 in the lowers (100-10,000 Hz off the fairing mounted Micro4)
Hertz ST25 Horns in the fairing gauge holes (3,000-20,000 Hz off the bag mounted Micro4)
Kicker KS 44KSC6504 6.5 in the tour pack pods (43-21,000 Hz off the bag mounted Micro4)
Hertz MPX 690.5 (30-24,000 Hz bridging the NVX amp 6 x 9 in lids)

it would seem each of these speakers handle very different power levels and tuning

I got you brother man. I'll find time to get you in during Daytona...just slammed right now with local bikes, and behind on my own bike. Daytona rush!

Drop the horns in the front. Those comp drivers in the CX's are already stupid loud and you have tweeters on your coax in the rear and 6x9's. You won't want or need them. That should also drop an amp from your set up.

I just read about your fender nightmare, UGH!

OK, drop the horns, NP. But wouldn't the MPX 690s need the additional power (200 per channel bridged) from the third amp? It seems the Diamond Micro 4 at 4 ohms at 80 watts would be not enough to take advantage of those speakers potential? I already have the amp, no problem to install.

I think your Beymas in the fairing would benefit greatly from more power as well.

On the fly I think u have some amp challenges.

The 6x9 with the NVX will work.

The 6CX will be "ok" w the Diamond wired bridged & parallel for the woof & the comp horns on the other 2 channels.

The other 2 sets of 6.5s is where u run into some challenges. Can bridge the Diamond and feed the SVs about 150-175.

No juice for the kickers though. Unless u just feed the SV & kickers off the Diamond but ur gonna be short on watts.

Those diamond amps are not real versatile.
